Scout PR & Social Media entered Women’s Month on a high after assisting Marie Claire South Africa with the inaugural Marie Claire Power Summit 2018, progressed by Audi and in association with the Nelson Mandela Foundation. The full-day conference held at The Lyric at Gold Reef City, Johannesburg, coincided with the Nelson Mandela Foundation’s Nelson Mandela Centenary 2018 programme on Wednesday 18 July and gave women leaders, trailblazers, creatives and influencers from across Africa the chance to share their knowledge, wisdom and power.

Events season is in full swing with Scout having supported 100% Design South Africa – Africa’s largest curated exhibition platform for sourcing high-end contemporary design, which took place at the Gallagher Convention Centre from 8-12 August 2018 in conjunction with Decorex Johannesburg. The Scout team is honoured to have led the PR and social media campaigns for the fourth time since the show launched in 2014.

Throughout June, the company was privileged to run a concerted, rigorous social media campaign for Race The Wild Coast 2018, organised by Rockethorse Racing. Part horse-race, part gruelling and breath-taking excursion, Race The Wild Coast takes horse-riders over the tough, rugged terrain of South Africa’s east coast in a multi-day journey in October 2018.

We are proud to be welcoming new clients in the hospitality sector, including The Liz McGrath Collection, Park Inn by Radisson Cape Town Newlands and Radisson Blu Le Vendome Hotel. With a strong record in both lifestyle and hospitality, our team is excited to drive the hotels’ PR campaigns locally and internationally.

Topping off the mid-year period, Scout PR & Social Media is proud to celebrate its fifth birthday on 1 September 2018! A warm thank you to our clients past and present who have made working for you an exciting and fulfilling experience as well as for contributing to our growth as an agency. Here’s to another five years!
