Galia Gluckman

Galia Gluckman has appointed Scout for public relations and publicity management. Gluckman is an award-winning artist who produces large-scale, multi-faceted artworks in her medium of choice: pigment ink on cotton paper and collage. Her work reflects varied contemporary interests, highlighting ongoing creative and social conversations through her exploration of atmospheric and emotive themes.

Born in 1973, Gluckman first qualified as a fashion designer, operating in London and New York before returning to Fine Art. Having relocated to Cape Town in 2010, she has participated in a number of group and solo exhibitions both locally and internationally. Her most recent solo exhibition was at the Jewish Museum in Cape Town in 2013. She also took part in“Epidermis” at Florentin 45 Gallery, and “Pixels” at the Artist House, both in Tel Aviv. She also presented at the Cape Town Art Fair in 2013 and 2014. Her artwork is represented in many private and corporate collections in Australia, Dubai, Israel, South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom and USA.

Gluckman’s use of recycled material and paper cut-outs to create beautiful and eco-friendly artworks is what makes her work an excellent fit for Scout’s existing list of green, design, décor and lifestyle clientele.
