Scout has been appointed to manage the public relations, Facebook marketing and community management, and Google advertising for Building Service Advisor (BSA), a new online directory and mobile application for building renovations and home improvement. BSA will officially launch to the public early in 2018.

The BSA site is a “one-stop shop” for all services pertaining to the development, extension, renovation or repair of property. BSA will solve those age-old questions such as: “Where can I find a reliable builder?” or “Do you know a good plumber?”! To make life easier, BSA has compiled the names and details of numerous suppliers, businesses and tradesmen and loaded them onto one easily navigable website and mobile app.

“BSA offers real utlity for both members of the trade and the end-consumer, wrapped up in an easy-to-use platform,” says agency Director, Lauren Shantall. “We are pleased to be able to share the news of this useful tool.”

BSA is committed to ensuring simplicity for all who make use of its site and app. It does not charge any commission for work received by the tradesmen and suppliers listed on its platforms, and its rating system enables users to select their preferred services. Added to that, business directory listings are free, though a company may boost its particular listing to ensure that it appears at the top of the relevant category list. The platform also makes geo-specific advertising possible, specifically targeting users in a preferred location.

BSA is set to become the leading online building services directory in both South Africa and Africa, and will run an extensive and sustained communications and marketing campaign in order to ensure significant market reach.
