Yes, it’s already the 2nd quarter of 2019 and elections are around the corner! Our clients definitely get our vote here at Scout PR & Social Media and we’ve welcomed some wonderful new one-off projects and retainers into the fold.

What’s new?
We’re thrilled to communicate that since the end of 2018 we’ve started working with Quivertree, The Hussar Grill, Herman Miller, Deli Spices, Seven Colours Grill Seasoning, Morpheus and Labotessa. We are also celebrating renewals with 100% Design South Africa, Rockethorse and Spier and yet another successful Design Indaba campaign.

IKEA Idea
What a privilege to have worked with international furniture giant IKEA on the official global launch of Överallt, the company’s first African collection. It took place here in Cape Town at the end of February and was a landmark moment for cross-border creative collaboration.

Fired Up!
We’re currently working with the Nando’s Design Programme to promote a collective of young local designers who showcased their work at the recent Milan Design Week in April, with a well-received installation called Sacrosanct that celebrated the uniqueness and vibrancy that is Africa’s design legacy.

Going Viral
If digital virility is benchmarked by the one million mark, then we’re pleased to share the success of our live campaign for Race the Wild Coast, which reached over a million people on Facebook.

Digi-we-do
In addition to managing the digital marketing for several of our clients, the Scouts have built a new online presence for artist Josephine Grindrod www.josephinegrindrod.com/.

Copy Cat
We salivate every time we’re lucky enough to get an early glimpse of the seasonal menu for Babel while we’re assisting on copywriting and editing it, and value our ongoing relationship with Babylonstoren, which recently expanded to encompass the menu concept for new hospitality offering Hadspen House in Somerset, England.

Skill Thrill
Thanks to our clients, we’ve been able to lend our support to the Awesome AfriCAN initiative to provide computer-skills training for the unemployed. At the last count 10 people have managed to find full-time employment as a result of the computer literacy they have gained through this programme!
