In August 2019, Scout PR & Social Media came on board to assist artisanal gin distiller Hope on Hopkins with its rebranding – it changed its name to Hope Distillery to reflect its more global focus and signal its expansion into other liquor markets, like vodka and agave spirit.

Aside from its new visual identity, the small-batch distillery wanted to position its brand as distinctive, modern and committed to quality. Its spirits appeal to local and international clients alike, with the subtly fynbos-flavoured African Botanical Gin (previously Hope’s Salt River Gin) re-labelled “South Africa in a glass”.

Additionally, Scout put together social media marketing campaigns for owner-managers Leigh Lisk and Lucy Beard, along with writing and distributing media releases about their ever-expanding range of premium liquors. The relationship will continue this year, with more exciting developments to be shared – such as the launch of a new line!
