Growing Minds has appointed Scout PR & Social Media to run a short-term social media marketing campaign for the school’s new distance learning offering and its 2021 Grade R and Grade 1 intake.

An inclusive, independent school registered with the Western Cape Education Department, Growing Minds is committed to providing small classes with individualised learning in a nurturing and caring environment. There are never more than 10 learners per physical classroom to provide each child with focused attention from the teacher.

The school offers multi-level classes from grade R to grade 7 on a CAPS-aligned curriculum, but it is progressive and inclusive in its approach to teaching. Growing Minds encourages learners to show compassion, understanding and acceptance of differences and individuality and grows inquiring minds, critical thinking and deeper understanding.

The school appointed Scout to help publicise its limited places for Grade R and Grade 1 next year – the school is almost full but can accommodate new learners. Growing Minds has also introduced distance learning options for parents who prefer to homeschool, but who wish to do so with a registered school so that children can still have the benefit of a dedicated teacher and a peer group. The new distance learning options allow the school to cater for a wider audience online than it is able to accommodate on its physical premises due to its small classes policy.

Says Scout’s Director Lauren Shantall: “Progressive education is important – it offers concerned parents a viable alternative to mainstream education models and provides children with an inclusive environment in which to learn. For these reasons, we are proud to be assisting Growing Minds with promoting the school’s services on Social Media, and we hope to see the school thrive!”
