RECIPE FOR SA SUCCESS
Celebrate our cross-cultural heritage through food. This month, we’ve gathered a host of local foodie influencers and chefs, who’ll be preparing African delights like mopani worms, idombolo, trotters and gizzards on Seven Colours Grill Seasoning™’s social media. Local nose-to-tail heroes who’ll be cooking live for you are: Ella Khumalo the Cook, Meals with Mash, Meals with Tumi, and Sifo, The Cooking Husband. Take a bite!

CALLING YOUNG CREATIVES

ADVENTURES IN AUDIO
The hills are alive with the sound of New Music. Listen to Displaced, composer Michael Blake’s live performance, in situ at Emma Willemse’s landmark Disrupt art exhibition, at Union House in Cape Town at 18h00 on 29 September 2021. Blake’s aural landscape is inspired by Willemse’s impressive array of artist’s books and mixed media works, which will be on show at the same time. RSVP via firstname.lastname@example.org.
THE POWER OF EIGHT
In Chinese culture, 8 is considered a lucky number – it sounds like the word meaning to generate wealth. In Japan, it’s multiplicity. Mathematically, 8 is the first cubic number, and when laid on its side, represents infinity. In Christianity, it is the symbol of new life and resurrection.
Taking all this into account, we hope that our company’s 8th birthday brings an infinite amount of luck and renewal to us all. We’ve chosen to celebrate by making a donation to charity – in multiples of 8 of course! – in the name of our clients, colleagues, suppliers, friends and family!
Our happy playlister? K-pop idol IU’s “Eight” single, produced by and featuring BTS member Suga, bounces between music genres, futurism, fantasy and anime. The K-pop industry ranks 6th in the world’s music market Top 10.
