Scout PR & Social Media has had the pleasure of working with leading carpet and bespoke rug manufacturer MONN since 2016. MONN was established in 2012, and produces a variety of luxury Axminster and Wilton carpets, bespoke rugs, and carpet tiles. MONN’s superior products have been used in numerous spaces within the residential, commercial, entertainment, hospitality and religious sectors in South Africa and abroad.

In 2016, Scout PR & Social Media managed the launch of MONN’s newly relaunched corporate identity. In 2017, the agency was appointed to manage MONN’s social media, and also arranged the launch of a new product range that comprised four bespoke rug designs. These MONN Rugs were first showcased at Africa’s leading design exhibition, 100% Design South Africa.

After pausing services in 2020 due to the COVID-19 lockdown, MONN has resumed services with its agency of choice. The company has now enlisted Scout’s expertise to assist with digital advertising and social media for a revolutionary new collection of flat-woven rugs launching online in late October 2021.

The MONN flat-woven rugs will be available in a multitude of appealing designs at highly accessible price-points. Their key differentiators in the market are that they are almost entirely locally made from locally sourced materials; they are cheaper than the imported products they have been designed to compete with; and they also come with a built-in slip-reducing base that does away with underfelt at no extra cost to the customer.
